Carmel United U13 Girls, ECNL

The Carmel United U13 ECNL team traveled to North Carolina for two ECNL league games. They split the weekend with a win against NC Fusion and a loss to CASL. While in NC for the games, many of the players took the opportunity to visit the University of North Carolina and watch the defending NCAA Women’s National Champs practice. Great experience for all who attended UNC and a good weekend of soccer for the entire ECNL team.

Carmel United U13 ECNL won the Premier Division of the Internationals Fall Finale Tournament in Akron, OH. The girls played hard and defeated Century United, 1-0 and Metro Rapids 4-1 on Saturday. On Sunday they earned a 1-1 tie with Cleveland United that put them in the finals against the host team Internationals. In the finals, Heather MacNab scored on a free kick and Carly Stuart put in the game winner to finish the 2-1 win!

The CUSC U13 Girls joined the Elite Club National League. They will play this year against top teams from Ohio, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina! With the addition of seven new talented players, the 2013-2014 team will be even stronger and more competitive than last year.
